Who is Klever Kitten?

With four eyes and nine lives, Klever Kitten is known for her wicked way with words, love of proper punctuation, and passion for pink cocktails. She writes Klever Kitten’s Korner, a weekly column devoted to life’s great pleasures, minor inconveniences, and cultural absurdities in desperate need of commentary.
A devoted reader, her favorite book is One Hundred Years of Caviar. When she’s not writing, she’s usually hosting friends and dazzling them with her signature Szechuan tuna.
Klever Kitten values her independence. She’s just as comfortable dining alone in London as she is traveling solo to the Maldives. And when she’s sipping a coral cocktail on the white sands of Huvafen Fushi, she’ll get back to you when she wants to.
Until then, kindly leave a message.

The Clip-On with an Opinion

Meet Marisa
Marisa Howenstine is the designer and award-winning photographer behind Klever Kitten. Marisa’s a huge Hello Kitty fan, and her obsession with the character began at six while shopping for back-to-school supplies. She stumbled across a Hello Kitty pencil and begged her mom to buy three of them. Then came the Hello Kitty pencil case, erasers, and stickers. Not to mention the bubble gum! Marisa was hooked.
As she entered adulthood, Marisa never outgrew Hello Kitty—she simply wanted a character who grew up with her. And so Klever Kitten—the ultimate purrrveyor of taste—came to be.
Fun fact: Marisa’s deathly allergic to cats in real life.
